We design and implement strategies aimed at compensating, preventing and mitigating the adverse effects that may occur on natural resources, the ecosystem and the community, we actively participate in voluntary programs with government entities in order to promote the gradual transition to cleaner, friendlier and more sustainable operational processes.
1. Make suitable usage of natural resources in Steel wires, strands and ropes manufacturing.
2. Decrease pollution,supervising, providing and properly managing waste produced to water, air and soil.
Emcocables has taken this first step towards the reforestation and conservation of native species, with the support of the mayor of Cajicá, sponsoring 960 trees, in order to create a new forest around the Bogotá’s river.

The program has the main objective of reducing losses in its manufacturing process, optimizing the most from the resource, we have the technology, labor, and investments required in order to achieve total compliance.
Our gardens are locations to encourage the relationship with the environment and to think about socio-environmental problems. Vegetable garden processes have become living classrooms for the generation of community knowledge, making use of Popular Environmental Education.
As a commitment to make efficient use of natural resources, the Zero Paper Program was implemented in 2023 in order to advance of reducing deforestation related with the use of paper, replacing it with electronic means in documentation processes and physical archiving.
All our cleaning products used in the Company are biodegradable and ecological.
Ecological cleaning products, unlike traditional ones, whose components seriously affect the environment, help keep the atmosphere clean and protect it. In this way, ecological cleaning products take care of our planet.
We are working on removing single-use plastics, such as:
* Plastic reels for packing strands and cables.
* Plates, knives, forks, spoons, glasses and gloves to eat plastic or Styrofoam.
